Pre-Op Lab Draw: CBC, CMP, Hepatitis C and HIV
Compression Garment – Customised and worn immediately after surgery
--Patients are placed in a stage I compression garment immediately after surgery (provided by us), it's highly recommended they purchase a stage II garment
Pack your bag- ID card, Loose clothes, reading glasses
Jewelry- Do not bring any jewelry or valuables on the day of surgery
Nil per oral- 6 hours before surgery don’t have water or food if in general anaesthesia and 2hours in case of local anaesthesia
--Surgery center typically says no eating or drinking (npo) after midnight, it usually goes over the 6hr mark so I'm not sure how to word this
Lotion- Don’t apply any cream or lotion before surgery on chest region
Arrival: Your arrival time is provided to patients 2 days prior to surgery date. It's strongly suggested they clear their schedule for the day, and if from out of state, to arrive the day before. Surgeries that are late more than 30 minutes may be cancelled with cancellation fees.
Payment: $500 deposit to book a procedure. Remaining balance is due 10-14 days prior to surgery.
Transportation- Please arrange for someone to drive you in and take you home after surgery. We must have this contact on file.
At Home Care: We encourage you to have a good support system such as friends, family or spouse to help you during this time.
